- If someone passes out after drinking alcohol and will not respond to attempts to wake them, it is very possible they are suffering from alcohol poisoning.
- Driver's license suspension and license revocation seem to be the most effective deterrents among the general driving population; a recent government study concluded that the most effective means for reducing the rate recidivism for driving under the influence of alcohol (DWI, DUI) and crashes was a combination of license suspension and interventions such as education, counseling, and some follow-up.
